If you are tired of doing activities at home and want to spend time outside the home while improving insight into coastal culture, Jakarta Maritime Museum on Jalan Pasar Ikan, Penjaringan, North Jakarta is the right place to go. Starting today, Tuesday (7/7) until Sunday (7/12), the Jakarta Maritime Museum is about to hold an activity titled Pasar Ikan Explorer (translated into Explorer Fish Market) "Coastal Culture as Indonesian Harmonization".

It is held to celebrate the museum's 43's rd anniversary and will be enlivened with various activities ranging from discussions on the writing of Indonesian maritime history, scientific dialogue, to fairy tales and painting workshops.

Jakarta Maritime Museum Management Unit Head Berkah Shadaya it is the result of collaboration with the Jakarta Provincial Government, community and private parties who have a concern for the development of the museum.

There is also an online discussion via the zoom app with theme "Maritime as Our Life" which will bring several speakers, Islamic History and Civilization Study Program for UIN Bandung, Asep Rachmat Hidayat; American and European Intertracepartment and Interregional Cooperation Deputy Director III Directorate, Murdi Primbani; Endless Co.Ltd CEO, Toshihisa Tsunoda; and Cultural Heritage Expert, Ari Sulistyo.

"On the first day, we also have a casual chat with fishing communities and Putra-Putri Bahari Indonesia," he expressed, Monday (7/6).

On the second day, Wednesday (7/8), there will be a discussion on Maritime Archeology with Shinatria Adhityatama, a young archeologist with a wealth of experience who had participated in the Nazi German U-Boat submarine discovery expedition in Java Sea, Australia's HMAS Perth warship in Sunda Strait and ancient ship from the 13th century in the waters of Riau Islands.

Not only that, there is also a workshop to make knits from marine waste plastic for the residents of Aquarium Village. It is a concrete manifestation of Maritime Museum Technical Unit's commitment in developing the community around the museum.

"Herein we're cooperating with Jakarta Museum Partners Foundation, Lions Club MOVAST and Merajut Bogor Community," he explained.

On the third day, Thursday (7/9), his side will hold a cooking demo for the Indonesian archipelago coastal dish with Chef Jun Winanto (Electrolux Home Cook 2019). It will be continued with a discussion with a discussion on batik with various patterns and motifs in the coastal region with Batik Tiga Putri, which falls on Friday (7/10). It will be followed by a batik workshop with the Jakarta Textile Museum and a coastal charm makeup demo with Meidah Cosmoteceutical.

On Saturday (7/11), there will be a Cirebon Coastal tale with the Kendi Pertula Community, as well as Sunda Kelapa Harbor Tour Package while discussing the early history of Jakarta.

Then on Sunday (7/12), the closing event will present a Kopi Bahariku painting workshop with the Perupa Sahabat Museum Community and then will be followed by the photographer and videographer sharing event with APGINDO.

Besides being filled with various exciting activities, the event will also be enlivened with a bazaar containing various coastal products such as batik, various accessories, various snacks and culinary, as well as various marine crafts and other creative products.
